G&M were appointed geotechnical consultants overseeing the site investigation of possible shallow surface mine workings on the site of a future development.

A combination of window samples and trial pits were used. The trial pits were used to locate the mining high wall on the site, while the window samples/dynamic probles were used to ascertain the composition and depth of opencast quarry backfill.
